Caitlin believes that therapy should be a collaborative, compassionate and person-centered experience, where you are encouraged to bravely be your whole self. She focuses on creating a space where all emotions and feelings are welcome, especially those that feel most vulnerable and sensitive. She uses a person-in-environment perspective to see how one’s interactions with their world, its barriers, and its resources impact overall well-being.
Caitlin utilizes a holistic mind-body-spirit approach with practical mindfulness skills that can help provide calm in daily life. She will encourage you to explore all kinds of self-care especially if it means creative activities, dancing silly or getting into nature. Her approach is informed by cultural humility and encourages you to find ways to utilize skills from therapy to best fit into your life. She aims to help you build awareness and curiosity around your emotions, physical reactions, behaviors, and thoughts in order to build self-compassion, resilience, and healing.
Caitlin has experience in the following modalities: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care. Caitlin works with kids, teens, adults and families.
